Claims Vision

Proactive Claims Support

  • To proactively manage all claims\xe2\x80\x99 initial notification and follow up with both internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Claims Manual, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, and that controls are operating effectively by achieving KPIs.
  • To ensure effective oversight and collaboration with any outsource partners, including Shared Services Team - Offshore (SST).
  • To flag any issues of concern to Team Lead or Claim Manager.
Overview of Role
  • To report to Claims Manager via your Team Lead on claims administrative matters.
  • To support Claims Adjusters on claims related administration.
  • To develop a thorough understanding of the underwriting and claims portfolio across the classes of business.
  • To continuously look for better ways of doing things and to suggest process or other enhancements, where appropriate.
  • To attend technical meetings regarding any updates/processes with regards to Company\xe2\x80\x99s internal systems and contribute to project work, when required.
  • To be the first point of contact for Shared Service Team - Offshore (SST)
Primary Duties: -
  • To assist in information exchange with Underwriters, including:
- Seeking underwriters\xe2\x80\x99 advice for correct policy or insured.

- Checking on the correct declaration year.

- Reconciling claims data provided by underwriters with inhouse systems.

- Discussing with the underwriters on claims issues (if required)

- Compiling claims statistics (if required).
  • To collaborate with Shared Service Team \xe2\x80\x93 Offshore (SST) and the other internal stakeholders on the knowledge-based administrative tasks, including:
- Managing and reviewing the Shared Inbox of SST

- Managing and advising SST on all claims related queries and triage tasks.

- Reviewing all incoming emails and instruct SST for accurate claim registration.

- Reviewing of claim tasks for correct allocation to handling adjusters.

- Ensuring SST has not missed out on claims registration and payment within time line.

- Ensuring SST updates inhouse systems with accurate claims documentation.

- Providing correct payment instruction to SST

- Assisting to locate the Claims\xe2\x80\x99 reference including Bordereau and Statement of Account and verify with SST.

- Performing periodic quality checks on the work performed by SST.
  • To assist with tasks that involve the Finance function, such as:
- Booking of payment/reversal/recovery entries to inhouse system

- Advising Finance if there are issues on reconciliation, foreign exchange, and payment.

We are looking for a Meticulous & Inquisitive Team Player, who possess: -
  • Elementary Knowledge on General Insurance is a prerequisite.
  • Experience in Hull, Cargo, Energy, Engineering, and A&H claims would be an advantage.
  • Display good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Document Management & Payment System and Excel.
