Cloud Network Sourcing Engineer who is responsible for helping build and deliver network to powers the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest online services.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Help build and deliver the network that powers the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest online services

• Lead project initiatives for all aspects of cloud infrastructure network including metro, longhaul and colocation

• Own and drive contractual negotiations with vendors

• Identify cost savings opportunities throughout the network on new, existing and augment projects

• Support colocation efforts to ensure resiliency, diversity and quality uptime of our network services

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and define strategic initiatives to meet growth and expansion

• Region and market topology expertise to determine specific routes and deals that meet Microsoft network requirements

• Build long-term strategic relationships with key vendors and industry experts

• Communicate progress internally and collaborate with partner organizations

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Education

A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Design, Software Engineering, OR a related field, OR equivalent alternative education, skills, AND/OR practical experience is required.

7+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation

o OR Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.

o OR Master\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation

o OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

o OR Master\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation

o OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
