Commis / Chef de Partie - Pastry (2 positions) Tigerlily Patisserie is a local cafe at Joo Chiat looking to hire a full time Commis / Chef de Partie in the Pastry / Bakery section. If you are a reliable, quick thinking, and creative person in the kitchen, we'd love to meet you! Reporting to the Head Chef, we are looking for talented individuals who possess the following:

  • Passion for food.
  • Past experience of working in a professional kitchen at a cafe or restaurant.
  • Positive and energetic work ethic with effective communication skills.
  • Kitchen experience and management.
  • Ability to cope under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and pay attention to details.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the restaurant area.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and/or independently.
  • Ability to be creative and handle constructive feedback.
We want to meet individuals who has:
  • Knowledge in production of French style bread and pastries.
  • Knowledge in preparation of fillings for sweet and savory pastries.
  • Must be able to perform effectively as a team player.
  • Must be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certification
Cafe operates from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesdays to Sundays.
5 day work week with Mondays off as a given
10 hours daily including 1 hour lunch break (lunch provided) $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 per month
