Monitor developments in trade compliance, including laws and regulations, sanctions, policies, and industry best practices
Provide support to the legal team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating areas of trade compliance risks
Assist with coordination of trade compliance-related activities, including liaising with various stakeholders on trade compliance questionnaires, audits, and investigations; licence applications, if necessary; updating of product classifications; updating of forms, policies, and IT systems in response to trade compliance developments; monthly screening of business partners
Update and maintain database of trade compliance materials and resources
Provide assistance and training to users on trade compliance procedures
Conduct trade compliance audits annually and monitor implementation of remediation measures
Maintain proper documentation of trade compliance activities, policies, and procedures
Participate in trade compliance-related projects and activities, as needed
Third-party due diligence
Conduct independent research to verify the information provided for screening
Liaise with users to provide additional information where required
Flag risk areas identified during screening
Ensure that periodic compliance checks are carried out on business partners
Training Provide training on trade compliance and third party due diligence.
