Control Engineer

MAJOR DUTIES:

Design, document and support the build of electrical, programming of PLC and controls portions of high precision automation tooling, instrumentation, machine vision, robotics and mechanical drives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to read, understand, and act upon electrical drawings including piece part and assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, work instructions, and procedures
• Able to write Programmable logic control systems and HMI interfacing with machines.
• To conduct Design Reviews to analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting electrical component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Able to interact with customer representatives to review specifications and get clarification on questions pertaining to specifications of systems.
• To support manufacturing, assembly, de-bug, and customer buy-off.
• Able to write technical reports, manuals and technical support documentation
• To determines manufacturing methods, techniques, and procedures as required to perform electrical tasks to ensure designs perform to specification
• To provides technical support and instruction to staff and customers regarding electrical equipment standards and troubleshooting

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any equivalent degree in a related technical field
• 2 to 3 years relevant experience in control systems design, preferably in the industrial automation or related field with exposure across various industries.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming on AB, Siemen, Beckhoff and Omron PLC.
• Knowledge of broad electrical and electronic principles.
