What the role is:The Strategic Planning and Finance Division drives alignment across MCCY and our agencies. As the Deputy Director / Senior Assistant Director Strategic Planning, you will be part of a dynamic team at the heart of strategic decision-making. You will design, implement and monitor key workstreams to drive alignment and ambition across the MCCY family. You will work closely with senior leaders across the MCCY family agencies, set governance standards engage in data-driven decision-making, and cultivate a transformative, collaborative culture. You will be a bridge between MCCY and Centre of Government, shaping the Whole of Government agenda for social resilience policies and translating this to tangible outcomes with MCCY family partners.What you will be working on:

  • Strategy Formulation: Lead the development of strategies that align our goals with long-term vision and priorities. Ensure these strategies are actionable, measurable, and future-oriented. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strategic Communications: Drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders through clear communication of strategies. You will build lasting partnerships with other agencies and external partners to gain buy-in for organisational change. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performance Monitoring & Evaluation: Use data-driven insights to assess the impact of strategies and initiatives, providing timely interventions to optimise outcomes. You will develop risk management and governance protocols to ensure compliance with MCCY\'s and WOG governance standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research & Analysis: Work closely with colleagues to commission studies and analyse data to identify key societal trends to inform strategic decision-making.
What we are looking for:Competencies: \xe2\x80\xa2 Strategic Planning: Plan and implement short and long-term strategic solutions to achieve agency\'s objectives; oversee agency direction to ensure alignment of work plans, KPIs and enterprise risk management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Corporate performance management: Develop and implement performance management frameworks and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive achievement of the agency\'s strategic priorities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research and Analysis: Analyse data and information to identify patterns, trends and outliers to better support evidence-based decisions. Personal Traits: \xe2\x80\xa2 A proactive, innovative and curious mindset. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to distil complex information into actionable insights. \xe2\x80\xa2 A good team player, who can collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including senior management and external partners \xe2\x80\xa2 Good appreciation of current socio-economic and geopolitical environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant working experience in a policy/corporate/strategic planning role will be a plus.
