Our dynamic team is looking for a Development Manager who exhibits leadership, innovation, and a proven track record of leading development teams to build high-quality software solutions. As a Development Manager, you will be one of the leaders in our experienced OutSystems delivery teams, which include an Outsystems MVP, an Outsystems Champion, certified Outsystems Expert/Pro/Tech Lead/Associate developers, as well as other highly experienced managers to design, build, and test innovative business solutions for global customers.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, including the OutSystems platform technology in conjunction with modern software engineering practices for developing web/mobile applications using an Agile development approach (specifically implementing the Scrum framework).

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with delivery leadership (PMO, Engagement Managers) to identify the right people to match the skills needed for the project(s)
• Hire, onboard, train, and retain new developers and testers
• Manage performance (provide feedback, set goals, coach and mentor) of development team members according to the company standards
• Create and implement a skills/career development roadmap in collaboration with L&D that will support current and future project needs as well as individual career development goals
• Coordinate with delivery leadership (PMO, Engagement Managers) on a plan for resource assignments on the project(s) to address both the needs of the project and the skill/career development plan of the development team
• Deliver resource planning and utilization reports
• Deliver quality and productivity reports across projects to show where we are, how we have been progressing, and what else we need to do
• Manage stakeholder’s expectation and build strong relationships that foster collaboration and enable outcomes
• Acquire Outsystems certifications, including but not limited to Associate Reactive and Associate Tech Lead

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in the same job function
• Full Software Development Life Cycle Expertise in an Agile environment
• Web or Mobile application development background
• Jira experience specifically creating dashboards and JQL
• People Management Skills – Performance management, Skill/career development, coaching
• Capacity and resource planning skills
• Communication skills
• Candidate must have stable internet connection and work on a 100% work from home set up until further notice**
• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Preferred: Agile/Scrum, Project Management, OutSystems, experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, DevOps knowledge, specifically Git, Jenkins and TeamCity

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, late mid-shift: 3pm-12am; 4pm-1am; 5pm-2am, can be available on night shift if there are client meetings and engagement
