Other Key focus area would include expanding the core-plus and value-add mandate beyond ALF Targeted Strategy, and taking the lead in any new core-plus and value-add initiatives for any internal (e.g. UK Life Fund) or external third-party investors. The role holder will also partner the Head of Capital Solutions to grow and manage the separate account business. Focus will be on the growth of relationships within the region to help the platform deliver separate account solutions, club deals and joint ventures within APAC, UK and Europe.Key Work Level Accountabilities: Manager or Expert: To be accountable for delivering expert advice/ service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise to deliver outcomes for the portfolio and businesses managing and motivating others to ensure quality of delivery to customers and stakeholders Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk Manages conflicts that may impact delivery Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experienceKey Responsibilities for this role: Partnering with the Fund Manager to deliver target returns for ALF mandate by managing the direct investment in ALF Targeted Strategy, a direct core-plus and value-add strategy Working closely with acquisitions, asset management, tax, property fund finance and other internal stakeholders to execute acquisitions, as well as to develop and deliver on business plan and target returns under ALF Targeted Strategy and any other new core-plus/ value-add initiatives Contributing to firm's investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on competitive and regulatory landscape and best practices Participating in investment and portfolio management process including evaluation of potential acquisitions and dispositions; working with Investment Committee (IC) & Client/s Maintaining centralized oversight of investment performance monitoring/ analysis, investor reporting, governance and returns benchmarking. Actively monitoring mandate liquidity and maximizing investor distributions and returns within investment parameters Ensuring Fund's respective tax strucures are in line with the relevant tax policies Growing and deepening relationships with existing clients; and sourcing/ developing relationships for other newcore-plus and value-add initiatives for both internal and external third-party clients to facililate growth of AUM for the business Responsible for the client relationship management of outbound capital from APAC and local capital investing in the region to facilitate the growth of Capital Solutions Manage Capital Solutions transactions in APAC on behalf of separate account clients, and ex. APAC where the capital is sourced in the region. This activity will be supported by the global platform, specifically: The Capital Solutions function The existing APAC and ex. APAC platforms The regional business development team Maintain a CRM oversight function for both separate account AUM invested and capital raised in the region, supported by decidated fund/portfolio managers Proactively source and construct innovative market transactions such as joint ventures, club deals, seeding opportunities and collaborative ventures Present compelling cases for the internal funds to co-invest/ undertake JV's Share market information within M&G Real Estate globally to ensure all client funds/investors benefit from this information Operate in line with M&G Real Estate's Core/Core+ investment style (+ value add) and work within the established investment processKey Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Masters / Bachelor's Degree / in relevant area of study including Finance, Real Estate Management Minimum 12 years' of relevant experience with direct real estate investments and portfolio management role with broad knowledge and extensive networks in the fund management industry Understanding of real estate and investment markets and its regulatory environment Demonstrable track record of positively contributing to investment performance through pro-active portfolio management to the benefit of funds represented Demonstrated ability to lead and negotiate transactions (a proven track record in dealing with international institutional investors will be viewed favourably) and experience in transaction fund documentation Deep and trusted relationships with investors across global markets Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to interact well with different functions and levels A team player with ability to interact and contribute to a small team and willing to coach and develop the junior members of the teamWe live by four behaviours at M&G and we ask all our employees to: Inspire Others - Support and encourage each other, creating an environment where everyone can contribute and succeed Embrace Change - Be open to change, willing to be challenged and able to adapt quickly and imaginatively to new ideas Deliver Results - Focus on outcomes, set high standards and deliver with energy and determination Keep it Simple - Cut through complexity and bureaucracy, be clear and decisive and never overcomplicate thingsAt M&G Diversity and Inclusion is a strategic objective.
