Excellent writing and communication skills (both contract drafting and the ability to explain legal provisions to non-lawyers) are essential for the job, as is the ability to work independently and to learn the business quickly in order to identify key issues and priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to formulate creative solutions to resolve negotiation sticking points and bring deals to a prompt close.
