Senior Legal Counsel, Southeast Asia
Job Description
IFPI is looking for a sharp, self-motivated individual for the role of Senior Legal Counsel, Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. This position reports to the Regional Director, Southeast Asia. The candidate will interact with representatives from our member record companies and affiliate organisations, and work closely with other departments within IFPI, including lawyers, and content protection and enforcement professionals. The candidate will identify legal policy areas that require action, and support the development and execution of a strategy to ensure that the rights of our members, who create, produce and invest in music, are properly protected and enforced.RequirementsCandidates should: Be a qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction with at least 5 to 8 years PQE. Candidates who are not qualified lawyers will also be considered if they have a law degree and relevant experience of intellectual property law and practice.Have a good working knowledge of the international copyright and related rights framework.Be a fluent English-speaker, with competence in other languages preferred.Possess good analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Be a self-starter, who can multi-task with ease.Remuneration will commensurate with experience.
