Job Description


Be part of the pre-opening team of PAN PACIFIC ORCHARD SINGAPORE to redefine the city\'s landscape.

The Director of Catering Sales and Event Services leads and manages the day-to-day activities for the local catering and meeting, groups and social catering sales function with a focus on building long-term, implementation of sales activities and value-based customer relationships. Ensure a seamless turnover and event execution from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service. Maintains accountability for verifying that the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurate forecasting in all segments. Expectations:

  • Personally manage and actively supervise the management of selected key catering accounts.
  • Work closely and in conjunction with the Director of Sales to source, book and develop local catering and meeting and social catering business. Implement and execute catering sales promotions / initiatives campaign. Devise, implement and execute annual sales plan addressing revenue, customers and sales activity plan to achieve the overall catering revenue goals.
  • Lead the Catering team to solicit and develop catering accounts base. Joint calls with the Catering team to close business deals. Manage day to day sales activities of the team.
  • Organize, plan and execute any in-house customers events.
  • Attend social networking gathering as required to create awareness of the Hotel.
  • Conduct sales blitzes as needed to develop new businesses
  • Devise team revenue goals based on assigned portfolio to align with budget and forecast.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Constantly source for online third parties\xe2\x80\x99 channels to drive catering leads particularly for wedding segment.
  • Maintain an update of the current and future competitor\xe2\x80\x99s performance, product enhancement, pricing and sales programs and deploys resources to efficiently optimize catering revenue.
  • Involve in the day-to-day pricing discussion with the Director of Revenue and Director of Sales & Marketing to secure business leads.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Participate in the preparation, development and execution of the Marketing Plan and keep abreast of the progress of various strategies and key actions outlined.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
