Who We\'re Looking For Zendesk is searching for a dynamic Director of People Partners APAC to lead our complex and growing region which spans 8 countries. Zendesk has ambitious plans to grow from being great to iconic and cannot achieve this without our exceptional employees. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone to join us as we continue to provide the best HR experience for our employees and continue to grow in APAC. Who might you be? You thrive in the world of HR (the good, the interesting, the amazing) and the excitement that it brings. You are an experienced and progressive business partner with a strong consultative style and proven HR leadership experience across multiple countries in APAC. You have demonstrable experience of end to end project ownership and strong execution in a highly dynamic and matrixed environment. You excel in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and can readily adapt to any situation and are excited to roll-up your sleeves and create something new because you are a builder. You aren\'t above doing the little things, but you\'re ready to tackle the big jobs too. You live for jam-packed days, but always have time to support a team member. Oh, and having fun is a must! This role reports to the VP, People Partners located in San Francisco.
What You\'ll Be Doing

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leadership within the region and facilitate executive level and global discussions and outcomes.
  • Advise, coach, challenge and create a shared people vision across the senior leadership team in region
  • Assist people and the APAC organization in moving to new ways of thinking and/or operating
  • Partner with colleagues inside and outside HR to innovate, enhance and drive the effectiveness of enterprise wide People and Places programs within APAC
  • Build alignment with functional teams to assist regional leadership in adapting to processes and procedures
  • Help assess our progress regionally for all things talent
  • Build on our amazing culture - help us on our journey to embrace a remote and digital-first world
  • Represent the leadership voice of the People and Places organization across all of APAC at Zendesk. Bring together your peer group teams (Talent Acquisition; Total Rewards; HRIS & Analytics; Talent & Org Development; People Services; Workplace Experience) to develop relationships, create shared understanding and seamless collaboration. Bring the teams together as one cohesive and supportive People and Places team
  • Understand our HR policies, processes, practices and programs in APAC. Advise and guide your People and Places peers who own these to ensure they are appropriate for the region and that they are driving the right behaviors and are true to our values
  • Lead change initiatives that will continue to evolve the work of the People and Places team locally
  • Regular travel to other APAC locations will be required from time to time.
To be successful in this role, it is essential you have experience in all of the following\xe2\x80\xa6
  • A proven track record of success, working as a true business partner at a Director level or senior manager level preferably with strong regional experience
  • Ideally you will have previous experience within a leading multinational US headquartered organization through a period of growth and transition and growing regional hubs
  • Ability to influence, partner and coach across a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to think globally and look across various functions as it relates to change management and organizational evolution
  • You must have demonstrated success in business partnership, change management, workforce/location strategy and coaching
  • Competent in advising on issues that have legal and people implications across region
  • Ability to solve complex problems across the region
  • Inventive and able to independently handle a high degree of change and ambiguity
  • Outstanding project management, presentation and communication skills.
  • A strong leader and developer of talent.
