About Corporate Finance
Corporate Finance creates sophisticated strategies for clients\xe2\x80\x99 corporate finance needs. Our Banking structure leverages the expertise of bankers with industry or product specific and geographic expertise across all of Barclays\' products to provide clients with the most informed strategic advice and comprehensive financial solutions.
Overall purpose of role Driving the Singapore banking franchise with a focus on covering a cross section of clients domiciled in Singapore across various sectors, in conjunction with products bankers in DCM and RSG, with a secondary role of being an industry banker to regional clients in Southeast Asia. Precise industry alignment to be determined based on candidate\xe2\x80\x99s background.
Key Accountabilities

  • Experienced investment banker with strong track record of originating and executing advisory projects
  • Have strong relationships with key corporates (listed and privately-owned) and financial sponsor clients in Singapore
  • Expected to be an integral part of the SE Asia Coverage effort, proactively contributing to client and deal leads to generate revenue opportunities.
  • Builds relationships with working-level and C-suite level clients; develops a thorough knowledge of the client\xe2\x80\x99s management, long and medium term strategy, key business areas and financial knowledge
  • Uses this knowledge to identify, assess, promote and maximise business opportunities, using and focusing on the full range of profitable products from the different business areas. At the same time clearly adds value to the client\xe2\x80\x99s market positioning or medium term development.
  • Prosecute existing business and originate cross product opportunities, including M&A, Capital Markets and Risk Solutions Group transactions
  • Provides the access needed for our global client base and connect with various stakeholders in the global network.
  • A leading team member on transaction origination support.
