The Asia Pacific (APAC) Brands function is responsible for ensuring that Hilton's global brands are an attractive investment value proposition for owners in the APAC region and that they deliver experiences which attract, excite, and inspire guests in and to the APAC region. One of the primary ways Hilton achieves these goals is through distinctive brand products and services which consistently deliver a friendly and reliable stay to exceed our guests' expectations and drive owner return. The Director, Strategic Planning & Innovation will be responsible for independently leading cross-functional projects and teams to develop and execute distinctive brand products and services that are regionalized to the needs of the APAC. Examples of projects may include:

  • Developing industry-leading sleep, shower, and wellness experiences, including fitness, F&B, and spa
  • Designing a systematic renovation program to ensure hotel assets are in good condition regardless of age
  • Systematically improving our ability to resolve problems during guest stays
  • Testing and designing an APAC pet-friendly program and scaling up the program
  • Testing and evaluating innovations that improve the guest experience while driving labor efficiency
Winning hearts and minds of our regional and global stakeholders, including Hilton's five sub-regions within the APAC and functional groups such as Commercial Services, Human Resources, Technology, and Procurement is mission-critical to success in this role. This role will be responsible for directly supporting senior leadership of the APAC Brands function in driving alignment across our stakeholders and independently aligning his / her peers. Example responsibilities include:
  • Crafting written narratives and/or presentations that inspire senior stakeholders about our 18 brands; our managed, franchised, and MLA business models; our unique brand products and services; and our brand support services
  • Preparing senior leadership for key presentations and events
  • Planning pilots, presentations, and/or showcases to introduce new brand products and services to a variety of internal and external audiences
The Director reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Planning & Innovation and will also work closely with the SVP, Brands - APAC.

What will I be doing?

As the Director, Strategic Planning & Innovation - APAC, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Develop brand products and services for the APAC region, including ideation, research, testing, collecting feedback, launch, and adaptation
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and working groups of regional and global colleagues
  • Adapt global brand programs to meet the needs of APAC guests, owners, team members, hotels, and communities
  • Align global and regional stakeholders on proposed brand projects
  • Develop documents, presentations, and analyses to enable Brand leadership to drive alignment
  • Support Brand leadership for key presentations and events
  • Write communications, documentation, and detailed brand standards to drive program implementation.
  • Present findings verbally and in writing in a clear and compelling manner
  • Own and drive discrete projects independently, including work planning to enable on-time completion of deliverables
  • Work with internal and external partners to conduct hotel, guest, and owner research
  • Conduct quantitative analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • This role is a senior individual contributor role.

  • A team player who works well in a matrixed, multi-geography environment
  • Experienced in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • 25% travel in normal business conditions
Required qualifications
  • BA / BS / Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience
Preferred qualifications
  • MS / MA / Master's Degree
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
