Job Description

Purpose and Scope

1) Ensure as custodian, stock integrity to support operational requirements.

2) Ensure compliance/ governance in accordance with Group policy.

3) Assist Section Head, Warehousing to coach and guide team members.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1) Work with Maintenance to optimize inventory level

2) Update inventory movement/ transaction activities in the SAP system to ensure up to date stock location

3) Carry out mid-year / annual stock-take and cycle counts to maintain healthy inventory stock accuracy

4) Coordinate with buyers and end-users to dispose scraps in accordance to company SOP

5) Enforce warehouse 100% safety practices

6) Sell off obsolete spares at the most competitive price

7) Oversee the operation of the warehouse in compliance with company\'s standards

8) Implement best practices, procedures and technologies to improve/ automate the operations of the warehouse

9) Work with Maintenance for obsolescence stock write-off

10) Conduct daily checklist inspection of MHE (e.g. forklift, reach truck & pallet trucks) before use to ensure safety

11) Monitor and maintain consumable items (e.g. gloves, masks, lubricants, etc.) to ensure adequate stock level

12) Carry out warehouse spares preservation

Major Challenges

1) Familiarization with SAP process

2) Good time management and scheduling in running two warehouses in coming years

Key Decisions & Dimensions

1) Decisions that are within the Procurement and Logistics procedures

Qualifications & Experiences

1) Diploma in logistics, warehousing/ business/ engineering or equivalent

2) Min 3 years working experience in warehousing or logistics or related industries
