The Senior/Executive Engineer implements and reviews various WSH programmes, to support Trains BU in meeting the Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Protection and Fire Safety regulatory requirements, as well as ensuring the safety & structural integrity of the rail network complies with the Rapid Transit Systems (Railway Protection, Restricted Activities) Regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Implement and review of
Trains BU level Safety Policies and Procedures in alignment with Corporate Policies and Procedures and ensuring that it is communicated
Advisory to Division Management Representatives in the review and update of EHS Legal Register
Occupational Health Medical Surveillance on exposure to toxic substances, noise, ergonomics and other OH hazards
Provide support to WSH Secretariat for registered workplace WSH Committees
Evaluate hazardous chemicals and maintain Safety Data Sheets
Support the evaluation of new Personal Protective Equipment
Assist to identify, evaluate and mitigate workplace safety risks for Trains BU
Management of Route Protection Patrol of Rail Transit System
Management of Hazardous Work Coordination System
2. Provide WSH advisory to Trains BU projects, A&A and modification works. 3. Undertake any other tasks / projects as and when assigned.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Recognised Engineering Degree or Diploma
MOM-Registered WSH Officer is preferred
At least 1 year of work experience related to WSH
Skills
Familiar with the Singapore WSH, Environmental Protection and Fire Safety legislations, Codes of Practice and Singapore Standards
Good knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
