Job Description


Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a talented Manager of User Experience to join our company office in Singapore and regional hub, working collaboratively with a team of International Product Managers and UX Designers spread worldwide. You will be joining the team that is leading some of the key product initiatives for the company; a global product that feels local, as well as support key development initiatives within the region

What you\'ll Do

As a senior member of the International Experience Design team, you will expand efforts to collaborate with customers and help shape the ideal end-user experience for customers in the JAPAC region \xe2\x80\x93 focusing on Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, & India.

You will work closely with product teams, and user experience professionals to understand their learning objectives, and develop appropriate activities to achieve those goals. You will also provide end-user expertise, user research, & review existing customer enhancement requests and NPS feedback, as well as understanding and interpreting usage metrics to help teams produce elegant, intuitive and optimal designs. Your research findings and analysis will lead to actionable recommendations.

You will:
  • Lead a team of talented UX designers and researchers based in Singapore and India, while being part of the larger global Experience Design organization.
  • Work closely with the JAPAC leadership in product management, engineering, support & sales teams to understand local customer needs and process & collectively deliver great \xe2\x80\x98local\xe2\x80\x99 NetSuite experience to our users in the region
  • Be an evangelist for good user experience with the regional product teams
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.
  • Demonstrate a passion for good user experience design and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
  • Provide guidance on design and research process, feedback and support, and career development.
  • Ensure high-quality design and research deliverables by the team that communicate good UX design solutions.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Degree in Product/Industrial Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the field of UX/UI design.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven managerial experience in a design environment.
  • Experience working with remote team members and employees.
  • Experience planning and executing different types of research with customers.
  • Strong leadership qualities that enable you to lead cross-functional teams and third-party partners when needed.
  • Strong sense of independence, ownership, and initiative. Ability to self-direct and manage what to work on, how to get it done, and when to deliver
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced organization.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating experience producing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, task-flows and other design deliverables.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Nice to have: Internationalization and Localisation UX experience \xe2\x80\x93 especially in Asia.
  • Agile Development experience a plus.
