Job Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the Facilities Operations and Maintenance team. Supervise and lead system operators, mechanics, technicians, and contractors in strategic and tactical activities.
  • Own daily operations meeting and drive compliance to the company Permit to Program. Be aware of all work being performed in factory, potential impact, and mitigating actions.
  • Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including building maintenance, cleaning services, grounds and landscaping and site installations to support building and manufacturing operations like chemical and gas management, installation of support facilities for tools.
  • Managing multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, equipment and building maintenance, grounds and landscaping maintenance, security operations, utilities hook-up and projects to support manufacturing and building operations
  • Ensure that a safe, reliable, and collaborative work environment is a top priority, and is managed effectively, maintained, and embraced by the entire organization, including contractors.
  • Ability to develop financial forecasts for all maintenance activity based on available history, current data, and future estimates.
  • Manage budget and fully understand operations and maintenance expenses.
  • Supervise team in the execution of various operations and maintenance projects providing estimates and supervision to SB and contract labour.
  • Appraise individual and team performance measured against established performance expectations, objectives and team priorities and define methods for improvement and individual career development.
  • Manage supplier performance and costs. This includes preparing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), annual forecasts, forecast updates, monitoring costs/Purchase Orders (POs) and ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with scope as defined in the POs. Participate in contract negotiation, renewals, and extensions.
  • Review of operational and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance to Standards and Process Documents
  • Ensure collaborative approach to facilities systems performance. Involve system engineers, technicians, and operators in day-to-day operations and alarm management/response.
  • Develop and implement programs targeted to improve safety, quality, and cost.
  • Drive improvements in preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Proactively identify improvements and drive use of information systems that increase efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance team and maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize existing databases for coordinating and tracking work.
  • Research and evaluate latest industry trends. Implement and share best practices in maintenance execution. Work effectively across organizations and sites to promote best practice sharing.
  • Be a key contributor in the Facilities disaster management and business recovery process.
Minimum requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of related experience supporting semiconductor, solar, or other similar manufacturing facilities.
  • Technical training in plant engineering or maintenance, or comparable professional experience.
  • Potential to manage materials which contain hazardous chemicals.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and self-managing with ability to simultaneously prioritize tactical and strategic objectives.
  • High tolerance of change
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to motivate, manage and work with others at all levels in the organization. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once, delivering results and best reliability.
  • Strong project management skills needed to support facilities systems improvements, program implementation, and fab ramp projects. Financial management, document control and project documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing problems, applying Root Cause Analysis, and developing corrective/preventative actions.
  • Ability to develop financial forecasts for all O&M activity based on available history, current data, and future estimates. Ability to develop SAP proficiency.
  • Motivated, self-directed, and flexible, possessing good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teaming, negotiation skills and ability to successfully influence others through collaboration within and across organizations. Must be able to deliver clear, concise, and timely oral and written communications.
  • Fundamental understanding of Computerize Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration and the ability to optimize the CMMS database.
  • Supplier management and ability to successfully promote/implement 5S process.
  • Good communication skills along with customer relations.
  • Strong leadership qualities with ability to positively influence overall team performance and earn followership. Ability to develop individuals and team members.
