This position is for Office of Human Resources and Faculty Administration (HRFA).
FA Partnering
Co-partnering with the FA Partner and School Administrators to deliver the faculty administration matters ensuring that they are aligned with the SMU\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategic objectives and organisational core values and Faculty policies through effective faculty management practices.
Provide advisory on policies and guidelines related to academic staff such as appointment criteria, terms of appointment, employee benefits.
Provide subject matter advise on local employment acts to ensure compliance obligations.
Back-office processes of Faculty Lifecycle
Coordinate and administer the formalisation of all appointments, joint appointments and re-appointments, and third year reviews.
Coordinate and administer the relocation and onboarding processes for new faculty members.
Assist in managing the work pass application, renewal and cancellation processes for the Schools assigned.
Other FA administrative matters
Administer the work pass processes for Faculty of the Schools assigned and work with the Provost Office and School Administrators to identify solutions to challenges faced in the entire processes.
Qualifications:
Degree with at least 6 years of HR experience with a depth and breadth of knowledge on faculty matters in IHLs.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong critical thinking skills in identifying effective solutions to help resolve faculty matters that arise.
Ability influence and interact as well to engage stakeholders at various levels.
