Competitive Salary We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Services Manager. You be responsible to the Airport Manager assisting in ensuring that the Airport maintains a safe, orderly and expeditious environment. The FSM is responsible for the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS), Aviation Fuel and Emergency Planning in accordance with the requirements of the CAA.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 40hrs/week (normally Mon-Sat as per roster but occasional Sundays)
Qualifications and Skills:

• You must have substantial fire service knowledge, sufficient to provide advice to Fire Service teams and external Airport Stakeholders. Minimum 5 years operational fire experience.
• You must have a high level of technical & general managerial competence in managing Airport Fire Service teams.
• Manage all aspects of Fuel Management, including compliance with all required standards, organising repairs and routine maintenance and staff training.
• Manage all aspects of Emergency Planning, including leading/attending all associated forums, co-ordinating all Emergency Exercises be they tabletop, or practical.

• Strong leadership and influencing skills.

• Excellent planning and analytical skills.

• Experience in communicating effectively at all levels.

• You must be highly self-motivated, creative, and proactive, whilst being able to organise and co-ordinate team working to deliver overall objectives.

• Desirable to hold a NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.

• Must hold a valid UK Full Driving Licence and ideally a valid HGV/LGV Licence.

• Must have demonstrable experience operating within an airport environment, or other complex operational environments.
• Must meet and maintain airport/fire medical and physical assessment standards
• If not held already, must be prepared to attend external training courses to gain relevant and current experience / qualifications.
