Job Purpose
To oversee and enhance our food safety, supplier management, and quality systems across our restaurant network. This role will focus on ensuring consistent compliance with global and regional food safety standards, working closely with suppliers, franchisees, and cross-functional teams to uphold brand integrity and protect consumer trust.
Job Size
Pizza Hut South Asia Franchise Markets comprises 9 markets - Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia. It contributes to almost USD1billion sales and about 1900 stores, with
60% online sales. The business is operated through 4 main channels - Delivery, Carry Out, Dine-In, and Food Aggregators, in both online ordering platforms and offline premises.
This position will be based in Singapore.
Job Functions
Supplier Management

• Ensure raw material standardization, food safety, and quality compliance with brand standards by conducting supplier audits, approvals, and evaluations/cutting.
• Implement and drive supplier auditing systems to guarantee food safety and consistent quality.
• Train and calibrate franchisee QA and third-party auditors to ensure they were calibrated to standard.
• Partner with Franchisees to drive for GFSI certification of suppliers.
• Monitor and ensure all suppliers comply with Yum! Food Safety Compliance.
• Provide technical support on specific regional and global projects.
• Handle any complaints related to the regional/Global suppliers and collaborated with the supplier to resolve the issue.
• Work closely with franchisee QA leaders to understand their current capabilities and identify areas for improvement.

Restaurant Food Safety & Quality

• Ensure ACE (food safety standards) are maintained at all Pizza Hut restaurants.
• Work with franchisee QA to ensure compliance with Yum! and local legislative policies.
• Partner with Operations to ensure the execution of Food safety, Brand standard in the ACE programs.
• Train and calibrate franchisee QA and Operations on the restaurant food safety standards.
• Train and calibrate third-party auditing company to ensure they are calibrated to ACE standard.
• Provide technical support to reduce and minimize food safety violations in restaurants.

System Maintenance & Compliance

• Maintain and manage the QA program database (TrueView) ensuring all entries are current, accurate, and complete.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., FIT, Supply Chain Management, Franchisees) to ensure proper documentation and approval of all products, suppliers, and procedures.
• Onboarding 3rd party auditors onto Yum! system

Knowledge and Skill Required

• Food safety and quality related experience - 10 years minimum
• University Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology preferably Food
• Lead Auditor qualified
• Analytical and Problem Solving mindset
• Negotiation skills / Soft skills especially influencing - able to converse with all levels within organisation
• "Can do" and action orientated - growth mindset
• Able to consult and present in "layman" terms and be solution orientated
• Work outside standard operating hours
