Formulation Chemist (Scent & Care), Singapore

As a Formulation Chemist, you will be responsible for developing new and reformulating existing formulations for Consumer Fragrance and Fine Fragrance applications. You will be required to keep up-to-date on current trends and new formats. You will build strong relationships with global team on new formulation and provide technical support in resolving product issues. You will report directly to Applied Research Manager.

The Position:

• Develop and test formulations for Personal, Home Care and Fine Fragrance application. Reformulate existing formulations to fit to Asia Pacific market needs
• Keeps abreast of current trends and developments and regulatory changes which would impact formulations in Asia Pacific.
• Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers on ingredients and with global team on new formulations
• Provide technical support to internal and external clients in resolving product issues
• Maintain formulation database and generate technical reports
• Ensures maintenance and / or adherence to good laboratory practices and all safety regulations in laboratory.

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry especially formulation chemistry or chemistry related fields
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in formulation development in Personal and Home Care Applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent English proficiency and additional local language is an added advantage
• Relationship with raw material suppliers is an added advantage
