DESIGNATION : Freight Administrator, SG

RESPONSIBILITIES
Department: Freight Operations provide commercial, logistical and administrative support to JERAGM and is responsible on a day-to-day basis for the timely implementation and execution of freight and commercial transactions, to ensure that all obligations arising from the COAL contracts and charter parties are met and carried out professionally. Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Handle Japanese trades including the proper execution of all freight contracts related to the JERA dedicated vessels, duties to include:
    • The nomination of vessels
    • The calculation of all Laytime Settlements
    • Ensuring that all payments/receipts are properly calculated and executed
    • Managing the operating schedules for the individual dedicated vessels
  • Work closely / assisting freight operations with daily work tasks including
    • Payment of preliminary and \xe2\x80\x93final disbursements accounts
    • Keeping track and chasing of 3rd party outstandings
    • Handling settlements in allegro for payment including both freight operations- and bunker payments
    • Obtaining info required for credit / KYC purposes
    • Tracking of LOIs / OBLs
  • Otherwise ad hoc work as agreed and delegated depending on need and capacity


QUALIFICATIONS
Key Role Requirements
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently, and accurately
  • Deal with counterparties on a regular manner ensuring all operational information is passed or obtained timely
  • Proactively promote and culture a good working relationship both within the team and with any external parties
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
  • The ability to work as part of a small team within a multi-cultural office environment
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and has good computer skills
  • Diploma holder and above
  • Preferably some experience in working in a shipping company or in a closely related industry
  • At least 2 (continuous) years\xe2\x80\x99 of work experience in a similar role
  • Marine accounting skills and experience
  • Proficient in English
