An exciting Fund Operations Manager job has just become available at an asset management start-up based in Singapore. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer based in Singapore.

About the Fund Operations Manager Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing all fund operations including investor services, transfer agency services and fund accounting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with external service providers and the head office operation team based in Shanghai. Additionally, you will also be responsible for coordinating with external service providers to address any IT issues that arise during daily operations or as required by regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the operations management of the funds/accounts and the related monitoring and coordination
• Collaborate closely with the investment team, fund admins, custodians, and external partners to provide timely operational support for daily issues
• Verify the accuracy of fund/account NAV prices calculated by external service providers
• Generate periodic reports as required
• Handle documentation process for onboarding new clients, brokers/counterparties, and for setting up new funds/accounts and structures
• Evaluate service quality and contracts of external service providers to improve fund operations and protect company interests
• Coordinate with external IT service providers to address daily IT issues
• Maintain effective communication with regulators and head office

To succeed in this Fund Operations Manager role, you will have extensive experience in fund accounting, valuation, and settlement procedures for investment products such as bonds, equities, funds and derivatives. The right candidate will also be experienced in managing stakeholders, both internal and external.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a related discipline
• At least two years\' experience in a similar role within a financial institution, fund administration or buy-side institutions
• Strong understanding of accounting, valuation, and trade settlement procedures
• Exposure to products such as bonds, equities, funds, derivatives, etc.
• Basic IT knowledge is mandatory
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills, attention to detail
• Positive attitude to learn, strong prioritising skills and ability to work independently
• Highly professional and able to handle confidential material with discretion
• Ability to resolve queries arising in daily work, maintaining accountability, and escalating issues appropriately
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and mandarin is necessary in this role to converse with the headquarter in Shanghai and clients who are based in the Greater China region
