Automate tests using test frameworks and write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems. Responsible for monitoring product engineering with a perspective towards improving product quality. Create test harnesses as necessary to perform testing. Work with the team in requirements grooming to understand the business requirements and test requirements Maintain and update automated test scripts based on agreed acceptance criteria Help the team build functional and non-functional test scenarios based on user story covering the requirements, cross functional and other aspects of the systems such as load, performance and fault tolerance in BDD - Behavior driven development (Given, When, Then format) Review tests built by other team members for coverage and negative scenarios Execute and report results of automated and manual tests with the team Monitor and troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts Report issues and anomalies in the system in the issue tracking system Research new QA tools & methodologies and suggest improvements to the team. Provides testing leadership Critical deliverables FX Exchange Venue & Applications Modules. FX Product deliverables This role is key to delivering the FX Customer Exchange technologies as part of FX Integration and future FX opportunities. Education and Experience Required Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years' experience as a Senior Quality Engineer/SDET (Software Developer Engineer in Test) Understanding of Electronic Trading ecosystem (Equities or FX) Understanding of messaging and network protocols Understanding of Distributed/Event driven systems Understanding of testing using FIX protocol Working on Linux / UNIX operating systems Extensive knowledge of databases and query languages for RDBMS/NoSQL/Time Series DBs Writing test automation scripts using Java/Python/C++ Experience of working in software delivery methodologies such as Agile/Scrum Support and evolve CI/CD Platform for continuous testing English Level C1 - High fluency in English with strong communication skills in verbal and written English Preferred: FX Options knowledge FIX 5.x REST Windows Business and sector expertise Experience in FX industry & regulated environments required Experience in broader financial markets preferred Leadership and management experience Experience in technical thought leadership Understanding of stakeholder management Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-organizational teams Personal skills and capabilities Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience Strong verbal and written communications with ability to communicate to non-technical partners Analytical, Results driven, Innovative, Tenacious, Accountable, Collaborative, Customer Focused
