Responsibilities:

  • To maintain and improve Product quality in line with company targets.
  • To reduce In-house, contract manufacturing and/or supplier defects/failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Reduce the escape rate through improved component and product test methods and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyse problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive effective corrective actions based on solid facts and data analysis.
  • To lead and participate in supplier audit including in product audit, manufacturing process audit, quality system audit.
  • To support risk mitigation projects, new product/ transferred product first article approval with PPAP tools.
  • Deploy effective controls over manufacturing processes, including SPC, defect analysis, NC/ tool targets, etc.
  • Ensure that CTQ measurements are consistently understood, monitored and maintained.
  • Agree and implement continuous improvement projects with suppliers , set targets and roadmaps.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership skill in contract manufacturing management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing contract manufacturing and also has second tier component supplier management understanding with reference to contract manufacturer (first tier).
  • Familiar with the following operational excellence tools but not limited to; Lean manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, Problem solving, Microsoft project, six sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on responsibility and have ownership.
  • Can work at the highest level in an organization.
  • Project leadership and management.

Professional Experience
  • Experience in contract manufacturing environment is a must. Must be able to analyse from Macro to Micro level and clearly understand of product lifecycle from NPI to EOL management.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels within the organization are essential to this position.
  • Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving background.
  • Quality and Process improvements experience.
  • Being a team player who understands the needs and benefits of a successful team concept is essential.

  • Exhibits accountability, analytical thinking and committed to drive teams to meet business goals.
  • Strong written, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven personality with discipline of ownership of responsibilities and independence.
  • Attention to details.

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent QA experience for minimum 5 years in managing contract manufacturers as a Supplier Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
