Job Overview: As part of the Global Services and Support team, the Global Service & Support Trainer will play a key part in enabling our customer facing colleagues to efficiently service and support Job Overview: As part of the Global Services and Support team, the Global Service & Support Trainer will play a key part in enabling our customer facing colleagues to efficiently service and support our instruments in the field. The main responsibility of the Trainer will be to deliver training courses to our Service and Support Specialists, assist in the development of training material, and complete all related administrative tasks. The trainer will also be encouraged to continuously work to improve our training and education strategies to ensure training efficiencies. Responsibilities and Duties: Deliver required instrument/application training classes either remotely or in person at the Regional Training Centre or at other designated training locations Participate in the training forecasting and planning process Manage the acquisition and maintenance of equipment and the ordering of consumables and reagents Perform all vital administrative tasks related to the delivery of a training course. These include preparation of instruments, kits and reagents, course communication and LMS administration Work with the Service Product Development teams and Territory Specialists to build training programs for new product launches Assist the Service Product Development teams and Territory Specialists to implement updates to existing training curricula Provide expertize to assist field teams to solve critical issues and support the field teams onsite when requested Support the efficient setup, maintenance and improvement of the service training premises Drive continuous process improvement through problem identification and solving Ensure compliance with local and corporate policies Qualifications/Requirements: Fluent in English Bachelor degree with 2+ years of direct experience within a service, support or training organization or similar Proven experience in training, service, repair and/or applications support of analytical equipment like Thermo Fisher CE Sequencers, qPCR platforms, Next Generation Sequencers etc. Strong communication skills with ability to present to and influence a variety of internal and external groups Experience in a customer facing role Experience in leading projects of extended-, cross functional- and cross regional or global scope An eye for business Leadership skills reflecting the company 4i values Experience with e-learning technologies, digital learning concept and instructional design methodologies Ability to work independently and efficiently towards individual and team goals Up to 25% travel time Thermo Fisher Scientific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
