Team
  • The CPBB T&I Business Management helps drive and execute the overall strategic transformation agenda, including Technology Excellence and New Ways of Working. The team also collaborates closely with other senior business and functional leaders in the bank to build and drive the bank-wide.
Responsible for the business management function for CPBB Technology end to end including
Strategy & Business Management
  • Support the CPBB T&I team in developing, driving, and coordinating a consolidated strategy and actively participate in supporting strategy implementation.
  • Assist in the delivery of the management agenda \xe2\x80\x93 taking the lead to identify and drive initiatives designed to improve financial performance, operating efficiency, risk and people management.
  • Closely monitor the development, implementation and performance of business-critical issues including dashboard and KPI as applicable.
Productivity Lead
  • Accountable for CPBB business efficiency program, definition of the strategy, approach and executing to reduce technology run costs.
  • Accountable for the migration of CPBB to agile, defining the migration strategy and executing to move platforms to a fully agile delivery model.
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency, and drive a standardization agenda for the team.
Finance & Performance Management
  • Resource planning and implementation of resource hiring governance.
  • Definition and execution of the CPBB T& I location and workforce strategy.
  • Analysis of CPBB T&I performance, including preparation and monitoring of Performance Scorecard.
  • Proactively engage with CPBB COO teams and other support/control functions.
  • Work with TTO Finance business partner in budget & forecast.
  • Preparation of senior management presentations, and monthly management reports and papers.
People & Talent
  • Support the CPBB T&I Management team in implementing People Matters initiatives.
  • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
Governance
  • Prepare papers or provide updates as requested by QPBB QPR and/or other governance committees.
  • Coordination of meetings and papers, agenda formulation, attendance and follow up on actions.
  • Responsible for delivering \xe2\x80\x98effective governance\xe2\x80\x99; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any regulators.
Risk Management
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks across CPBB T&I portfolio.
  • Work with other business managers, oversee risks and ensure that they are properly mitigated, including any relevant audit issues.
  • Through assignment to direct and indirect reports, establish and maintain an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting and managing compliance and operational risks.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, to establish strong working relationships with senior leaders across business, technology, operations, and control functions.
  • 15 years of proven track record of executing complex or innovative change efforts. Able to mobilise diverse, cross-functional teams, located in different countries and with matrixed reporting lines, to deliver against common objectives under tight deadlines with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Excellent professional skills, including verbal, presentation and written communication skills; ability to simultaneously \xe2\x80\x9csee the big picture\xe2\x80\x9d and manage the details of implementation on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience of developing a rollout plan of workshops, kick-offs and communications activities across large BUs.
  • Extensive change management experience including use of agility, innovation techniques, human centred design or other new ways of working, ideally gained in the financial industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the businesses, markets and operations of Standard Chartered Bank and relevant policies, procedures, and processes.
