Position Purpose

  • Organize, supervise, and support the daily P&L production for GLOBAL CREDIT, GLOBAL MACRO & ALMT Businesses in Asia.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams to provide best service to Asia Business whenever P&L production is done in offshore location.
Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities
P&L production:
  • Responsible for the Management of the GLOBAL CREDIT, GLOBAL MACRO & ALMT P&L teams based in Singapore.
  • Accountable of the P&L produced by both Onshore & Offshore teams for the Business: Ensure proper governance is in place between onshore & offshore to review regularly the service provided by Offshore & support offshore when necessary.
  • Delivering accurate PNL figures: to ensure that the Official Economic PNL and explains are accurate, ensuring that: daily pricing & P&L explain match (SRE/RBE), no unallocated P&L SRE make sense, daily P&L & explain are consistent with trading activity. SRE aligned with RBE.
  • Validating PNL figures in due time: Where the PNL is produced daily, you need to ensure that Official Economic PNL figures are validated on T+1 and PNL Explains on T+2 (preferably on T+1).

Management:
  • Responsible of the management of P&L teams in Singapore.
  • Plan, design & execute the budget.
  • Implement/ review/ update procedures
  • Responsible for the management, professionalism and development of staff/ teams: recruit, set objectives, assess performance & provide feedback regularly, support staff, training, create/ promote career development opportunity, succession plan, proactively ensure adequate coverage for both production/ projects.

Business development & collaboration:
  • Support & propose solutions for new Business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other internal partners ﴾Finance, Back Office, etc.﴿ to ensure all business and operational issues are deal with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper P&L governance with global teams to ensure aligned processes & information shared.
  • Design/ Contribute/ implement P&L industrialization projects.

Operational/ Regulatory risk:
  • Monitor & reduce operational risk & ensure processes/ controls are challenged and address gaps.
  • Ensure appropriate & prompt escalation to management and/or OPC/ Compliance for issues/ incidents.
  • Ensure quality input/validation and escalation into ORUS/JIRA follow incident management procedure
  • Work with APS in collaborative manner to improve communication and bring stable platform together, be resilient when incidents and plan back up plans for critical processes
  • Responsible to collaborate to Audit mission & ensure any audit points are review & close timely.
  • Monitor Operational and regulatory risk by keeping itself informed if new risk and regulatory requirements and implementing necessary process or controls in timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines, especially Block Leave and Mandatory training
  • Ensure SLA Governance in place - KPI monitoring
Contributing Responsibilities

  • Product Control TOM
  • P&L & V&RC TOM
  • Contribute regionally to the product control functions with other Product Control teams.
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework & minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls
  • Comply with external regulatory & internal compliance/ Code of Conduct/ IT security policies requirements
  • Anti‐Money Laundering / Financial Sanctions (“AML/FS”) related duties: Operations are an integral part of the control framework including for AML/FS topics. In that respect, in performing your role you ensure adherence to AML/FS‐related Group Policies and execution of associated operational controls, and to escalate any resulting hit for analysis and decision.

Experience and Qualifications required
  • Relevant experience in Management (VP level)
  • Operations experience on the same Business Line.
