Senior Director, Head of Corporate Communication,
Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia (IPVMC), Global Clients (GC) and Sales Engine (SE) Team Summary The Asia Pacific regional communication team creates and delivers communication programs that drive Visa\xe2\x80\x99s business growth and advance and protect the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation. Within this team, the Reputation and Corporate Communication team focuses on communication programs to support the region\xe2\x80\x99s leaders and prominent business functions including Asia Pacific\xe2\x80\x99s President and senior leadership team, Products & Solutions, Innovation, New Payment Flows, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Risk, Consulting and Analytics, Technology, and Strategy. We work across external, client and employee communication activities to promote Visa\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing strategy to extend our payments network into new areas of opportunity and position ourselves as the partner of choice for banks, merchants, fintechs, technology companies and governments. In close partnership with the business functions, our team defines the company\xe2\x80\x99s positions in the region on a wide range of industry topics and delivers corresponding thought leadership content. What a Senior Director (SD), Head of Corporate Communication, IPVMC, Global Clients and Sales Engine, does at Visa: The SD, Head of Corporate Communication IPVMC, GC & SE is a full-time role focused on enhancing Visa\xe2\x80\x99s reputation across our key markets in Southeast Asia. The role will work closely with the Leadership teams including the Group Country Manager, Country Managers and Functional Leads to develop communication strategies that drive growth. The role will also be responsible for working with key cross functional colleagues including Marketing, Merchant Sales and Solutions, Product, Visas Consulting & Analytics and Government Engagement, to ensure the Corporate Communication function supports the objectives of the wider business units. The role will be based in Singapore reporting to the Head of Corporate Communication, Asia Pacific, and will manage local market teams and in-market agencies to support the respective markets to deliver effective communication programs across the markets. Key Responsibilities include: Grow and Protect Corporate Reputation to drive growth

  • Work with the Head of Corporate Communication Asia Pacific to develop communication strategies that support Visa\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives and drive growth across the markets
  • Lead the development of the annual Consumer Payment Attitudes thought leadership platform and other similar platforms
  • Work with market communication teams to develop communication programs that demonstrate the value of Visa to everyone, everywhere across the respective markets
  • Develop key messages that communicate the attributes of trust, choice and growth of Visa as a business and an organisation.
  • Drive Visa\xe2\x80\x99s Financial Literacy and other agreed programs across the markets.
Executive Relations
  • Lead all aspects of Visa\xe2\x80\x99s media relations programs across the respective markets including:
  • Develop the strategy and managing the execution of all media engagement
  • Identify and maximise opportunities to enhance Visa\xe2\x80\x99s profile in the media
  • Develop content to promote Visa\xe2\x80\x99s brand, technical and industry leadership, new products and services
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with journalists across general, business, lifestyle and technology media
  • Ensure spokespeople are well briefed and trained to deliver key messages
  • Ensure Visa\xe2\x80\x99s senior management are seen as trusted authorities by the local media
  • Create opportunities for the Country Managers and other key management to obtain high, positive profile in broadcast and print media.
Executive Relations
  • Provide executive communication support to the Country Managers across a variety of internal, external, client, and media communication opportunities
Integrated Communication
  • Work closely with the Marketing functions to ensure corporate communication and marketing programs are aligned and a coordinated approach is being taken to leverage Visa\xe2\x80\x99s assets across the markets
Agency Management
  • Lead and manage in -market agency support to successfully deliver communication programs across the markets
Internal Communication
  • Lead the development and delivery of informative and engaging internal communication activities including employee communicatios programs and staff volunteering events
Public Affairs
  • Work with the Government Engagement function to support Visa\xe2\x80\x99s public policy position across the markets
Client Communication
  • Work with the regional client communication lead to support the business to communicate with all relevant levels of management within client organisations
Why this is important to Visa The role is part of Visa\xe2\x80\x99s Global Corporate Communication group, which oversees all corporate communication functions at Visa Inc., including media relations, industry analyst relations, public affairs and issues management. The individual will develop and oversee communication programs that support Visa Inc.\'s brand, marketing, product, and technology strategies to deliver on business objectives and drive growth. Working with the most senior leaders in the region, the individual will help Visa achieve our business objectives through strategic communication programs to manage the complexity of the region and support business development. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Minimum 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 Public Relations experience working in a relevant corporation or Public Relations consultancy
Strong network of local and international media contacts
Banking and/or technology experience
Strategic communication planning
Superior interpersonal and presentation skills
Financial budgeting
Outstanding speaking and writing abilities in English.
Microsoft Office competency
Expertise in social media and digital communication channels
Financial budgeting
