About the Role

The Head of International Programs APAC is responsible for developing, implementing and driving the regional IP strategy in cooperation with the respective regional stakeholders and in support of the global International Program strategy.

The role includes:

• Drive the business development strategy for the Business across all Sub Regions
• Present to the Quarterly Global and Regional ET on deliverables and achievements
• Design and deliver on global IP Must Wins
• Collaborate and support customers and distribution teams to drive the IP Business with external stakeholders
• Support the APAC IP Operations Lead with the deliverance of IP within the region to ensure customer satisfaction and management of SLA\'s
• Stakeholder in Regional Finance Projection Meetings for International Programs
• Design the growth strategy in terms of customer segments and in line with our IP capabilities
• Product- and geographical expansion of IP
• Regional customer targeting strategy including execution and support of local teams
• Support the annual IP business planning process by providing inputs for financial forecasting and resource planning

The role requires a regular and close cooperation with and support for Country Heads, Customer & Distribution, Underwriting, Operations, RES, Claims and Captive Services to help build and support our target opportunity pipeline, qualify new business leads and coordinate efforts.

Ultimately, this role will ensure Swiss Re Corporate Solutions delivers on the commitments we make for our International Program business in APAC.

The role will report into the Head of International Programs EMEA & APAC and is located in Singapore

It is an exciting time for our team as we seek to establish Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as one of the top insurers offering primary policies for international programs across most commercial insurance lines of business.

About You

Professional experience:

Are you an international business expert with a solid understanding of large global insurance business? We are looking for the following in an ideal candidate:

• Strong understanding of all aspects of the world of International Programs
• Minimum of 10 years of origination, structuring and execution of international programs for companies based in APAC, ideally including underwriting and sales experience
• Detailed knowledge of international program considerations including regulatory compliance, tax cash management expertise as well as strong operational experience
• Broad industry network with brokers and corporate risk managers
• Ability to engage with and guide local stakeholders, internally and externally

Other skills/attributes:

• Excellent interpersonal skills - articulate, credible, and able to build rapport
• Strong management experience - ability to plan, organize, and execute
• Leadership and organizational skills - ability to manage complex transactions and cross functional resources in an effective, timely manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, minimum English and any other major APAC language is a bonus
• Excels in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting a high level of drive and positivity
• Willing to travel across APAC on a regular basis (20 %)
