Position Description

Job Summary

  • Directs team to achieve objectives established in the Company\'s Strategic Plan
  • Develop and implement effective parts sales & marketing plan and monitors monthly to achieve team goals
  • Analyze sales statistics and market trends, seeks out and identify new business opportunities, initiates action plan to secure new business
  • Support market area to maximize dealer parts retail business, profitability and parts penetration
  • Develop and implement parts pricing strategy that maximize the revenue and profitablity targets
  • Continually review existing product offering, - by collecting and consolidation of market inteligence via frequent dealer /customer visits - pricing and competition to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Owner of parts \xe2\x80\x9cOrder To Delivery\xe2\x80\x9d processes
  • Develop logistics concept for parts supply
  • Continuously evaluate and strategies the optimal supply chain solution for parts
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities

Responsibilities
  • Lead, influence and motivate successful Parts and Logistics team
  • Develop, implement and manage regional parts marketing programs and sales processes to achieve targets
  • Business planning, forecasting activities and monthly updates
  • Plan and execute parts marketing and respective promotion activities
  • Drive financial targets and follow up sales development of parts commodities and carry out improvement plans
  • Maintain close communication with market area and dealers to achieve parts business targets
  • Develop dealer aftermarket commercial mindset through programs
  • Brand representation in facilities and communication
  • Help dealers to plan, develop and execute periodic marketing and promotional activities
  • Work closely with retail development to help dealers improve sales management and respective processes
  • Commercial training for dealer
  • Manage Parts pricing process
  • Set annual parts price level development objectives per market area and execute
  • Drive gross margin development of parts offerings as per targets
  • Support and develop dealer pricing competence and capability to ensure appropriate retail price positioning is market oriented and competitive
  • Manage the analysis of competitive parts price baskets and develop a proactive culture of handling specific pricing issues
  • Drive Parts and Logistics sales and marketing processes & products
  • Interface with Parts and Logistics COE
  • Drive implementation of suitable global programs in Asia
  • Deliver key actions for machine product launch preparation (parts pricing, dealer initial stocking)
  • Recruits, hires, develops and retains key talent
  • Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations, while maintaining focus on strategic goals.
  • Responsible for managing and controlling the team\'s budget

  • Parts Pricing decisions as per Delegation of Authority Guideline
  • Plan and prepare regional Parts budget and price level development for management approval
  • Work within approved budgets.
  • Manage team performance with appropriate actions

Education/ Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing and/or engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of aftermarket sales & marketing experience preferably in construction equipment industry
  • A strong understanding of the industry and how a dealership operates required
  • Good understanding of financial principles relative to the operations of the parts department.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting and pricing principles and effects of discounting.
  • A good working knowledge of sales management process, technics and methods.
  • Product knowledge including features and benefits of all commodities sold.
  • Good planning, strong organization skills and ability to establish priorities
  • Commercially and business focused, target-driven with \xe2\x80\x9cself-motivated\xe2\x80\x9d initiator skills.
  • Proven ability in project management - handle several projects concurrently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information effectively
  • Ability to solve and analyze problems and deal with complexity
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Experience of developing dealer and customer relationships, working with and through others at different levels
  • Ability to market and sell complex solutions
  • Strong interpersonal / leadership skills
  • Have the ability to influence change, have an outgoing and persuasive attitude
  • Demonstrate ability to remain flexible while responding quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel (+30% travel required)
