Head of Sales and Marketing, Health Solutions

The Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving sales activities and the acquisition of new business, resulting in revenue growth across Health Solutions in Singapore. You will champion all sales-related initiatives and must work closely with colleagues from the Regional Health Solutions team, the Sales & Marketing team as well as all local Heads of Department from Aon Singapore in joint sales initiatives.

What the day will look like

Business Development

  • Oversee the development and execution of the annual sales plan for Singapore to ensure that there are sufficient open pipelines to meet the year-to-year budgeted revenue growth via new business penetration
  • Develop and nurture a sales culture that instils the importance of profitable growth to the business
  • Lead the team to generate & develop leads via social platforms, cold calling, direct marketing, networking events with the objective of converting leads to sales opportunities
  • Strategize local market plans to build a continuous pipeline of opportunities, leading the team to convert those prospects to clients
  • Personally lead the sales team in the pursuit of large and/or strategic important new business opportunities, including but not limited to tender responses tenders, develop quality presentations as needed, work with the relevant bid management in country and regional expertise
  • Facilitate and manage the various channels of new business penetration including but not limited to in-bound global opportunities and new to existing opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing to integrate marketing strategies locally
  • Work alongside with Head of Clients in developing growth and retention strategies.
  • Coordinate Health Solutions activities across Aon Singapore to maximise cross selling opportunities
  • Develop sales and marketing materials
  • Achieve Health Solutions new business revenue target
Supervisory Role
  • Hire, train and coaching of team members under the Sales & Marketing Team Coach, mentor team members through individual sales opportunities and provide feedback to them
  • Oversee the effective management of sales professional development by developing a sustainable program in training, recognition and evaluation of sales professionals
Consulting
  • Champion all client-related initiatives including (but not limited to); Aon Brokers Guide, Client Promise, Explorer, Aon Pulse, Aon Care, Wellbeing and Voluntary Benefits.
  • Oversee the team to ensure smooth implementation of all client-related initiatives
  • Champion Aon United
  • Takes leadership in developing and executing strategy for cultivating relationship with key centres of influence for large accounts
Other areas
  • Assume duties assigned from time to time by reporting manager
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Minimum regulatory requirements (BCP, PGI. CommGI, HI, M5, M9) for registration as Broking and FA rep with MAS
  • Has experience and consistent track record in leading sales team for more than 5 years of related experience in broking/ consulting/ professional services firm
  • Highly motivated and excellent leadership skills while consistently working towards results
  • Highly articulate, an effective communicator who uses consultative selling skills
  • Possesses proven strategic planning skills, business sense and sales competence
  • Demonstrate accountability, coaching and management skills
  • Guide others in resolving complex client issues based on existing solutions and process
  • Effective collaboration across departments and organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Knowledge of client profiling and ability to recognize and be sensitive to client needs and priorities
  • Able to think creatively and critically, making good judgement and decisions
  • Alignment to departmental and organizational vision and goals
  • Self-directed growth and development
  • Effective interpersonal and people management skills
  • Work independently and with initiative, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Proficient in MS systems including Word, Excel, Powerpoint required
