Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic Head of Studio Operations to manage and launch our state-of-the-art virtual production studio that is poised to service Global television and film projects. This cutting-edge facility will be the first of its kind in South-East Asia and Singapore and is targeted to launch in Q3 of 2023, and will be equipped with the latest virtual production technology that is designed to offer unparalleled support to productions of all sizes and budgets.

Virtual Production is the future of filmmaking and Singapore is poised to become a global hub for Virtual Production, which is set to be the fastest growing industry in media.

Tasks

A successful candidate will be a resident expert in their field with an emphasis on leadership, strategy and providing customer service excellence. You must be passionate, self-motivated, proactive, a strategic thinker, flexible, able to pivot when necessary. The ability to juggle multiple, diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times is required. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is a strong people manager, and is able to exercise good judgment and communication.

Reporting to the Founders, you will oversee Studio Business Operations, which will include Production, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and Business Development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct leadership, vision and support to the studio management team
  • Experienced in forecasting and managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets
  • Oversight of the CAPEX Project Coordination and Management
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Oversight of facility service vendor RFPs, contracts and negotiations
  • Collaborate on community relations initiatives
  • Prepare/deliver studio presentations as needed
  • Collaborate with Government agencies, Educational Institutions and local businesses in support of Production
  • Responsible for delivering an exceptional experience for our productions
  • Create and implement workflows that are efficient and effective
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with productions, vendors, local crew base, local agencies, as well as internal stakeholders
  • Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, able to multitask, and meet tight deadlines
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of experience in operations, facilities management, or general management
  • Quick learner, resourceful, mature, collaborative, and extensive people management skills
  • Strong understanding of entertainment and/or production operations
  • Experience with budget responsibilities, vendor management, and strategic planning
  • Ability to align, motivate and lead a team including creating accountability
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated success in standing up new processes and/or improving existing ones
  • Excellent business acumen, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher; master\'s degree a plus
  • Strong passion for adopting new technologies like Virtual Production, Animation and Artificial Intelligence
