Key Responsibilities

  • Create new and innovative applications for our in-house products to market to the masses as well as cater to the needs of our clients whilst ensuring the nutritional aspects of the products are maintained
  • Develop new recipes or adapt existing dishes to reflect latest trends in plant-based foods, that will be used for the purpose of showcasing our products during product demonstrations and food tasting sessions for stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Applied Research & Product Development team to perform recipe development and fine-tuning to achieve the desired quality for the end product
  • Develop key partnerships with relevant industry players such as food manufacturers, food services, hotels and restaurants to establish new distribution channels
  • Research on future food trends to create new product lines to achieve the company\'s vision
  • Ensure proper documentation and archival of all the trials and formulations created
  • Adopt appropriate food technology to improve the culinary process and quality of the end products
  • Responsible for procuring and purchasing the raw materials and ingredients required for the work
  • Effectively manage the costs of raw materials and inventory levels to ensure maximum profits whilst keeping costs low
  • Ensure that food preparation meets health and safety standards by conducting regular inspections of the kitchen facilities, storage areas, and equipment used in the preparation process
  • Developing menus for special events requested by clients and customers
Requirements
  • Diploma in Culinary Arts, Patisserie or other related fields of study
  • Min. 5 years of extensive hands-on culinary experience and/or training in culinary arts in a full-fledged kitchen setting
  • Possess a good understanding of future food trends and the plant-based market; strong believer in the benefits of plant-based products
  • Versatile and adaptable to changes, willing to have an open mind and able to take constructive feedback for product improvements
  • Willing to join a start-up environment with high demands but satisfying rewards
  • Flexible and creative towards taking on new ideas of culinary preparation
  • Team-player and goal-oriented mindset
  • Possess food hygiene and safety certifications
