The incumbent is required to be responsible for the execution and supervision of human resources and administrative activities to ensure the deliverables as planned.

Responsibilities:

  • To assume the role of strategic business partner and internal consultant to the SBG, e.g. providing advice to
line managers on HR issues.
  • To identify HR implications of Business strategies.
  • To develop, implement and manage HR initiatives and interventions linking to organizational objectives.
  • To display strong business knowledge of the industry.
  • To enhance HR functions by optimizing the usage of IT and technology, e.g. HRMS
  • To assist and advise department Heads/COOs in the planning and budgeting of manpower plans and costs.
  • To assist line managers to recruit and select candidates with the right set of competencies and attitudes
within the required time frame
  • To assist and advise line managers develop core competencies for all positions and to implement
career development for all their staff and succession planning for all key positions, using a competency based approach.
  • To monitor and ensure acquisition and deployment of resources, ensuring the right job match for employees
to realize their potential to the fullest.
  • To carry out industry survey and advise Management on compensation trends within the industry
and recommend suitable compensation strategy in terms of bonus payments/annual increment/salary adjustment to retain performance staff.
  • To evaluate opportunities for change benchmarking against market HR best practices.
  • To acquire strong industry knowledge and the latest and most effective compensation strategies and trends.
  • To assist line managers to formulate and implement proper KRAs & KPIs and conduct performance appraisals
of their staff in a fair and objective manner.
  • To assist in resolving Industrial Relation matters which include carrying out a proper domestic inquiry,
handling disciplinary cases and representing Management at Labour Court Industries/Industrial Court hearings.
  • To organize social/sporting activities to boost staff morale and increase staff interaction and help
enhance teamwork/cooperation.
  • To build and maintain good industrial harmony between Management and employees.
  • To promote the concept of Group Culture and values and Group Total Efforts in the SBG.

Requirements:
  • Degree in HR management or equivalent professional qualification, minimum 5 years experience
in banking segment.
  • 12 – 15 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably in private banking environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff of all levels and able to manage stakeholders well.
  • Resourceful, hands-on, detailed and strong leadership skills.
