The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:
To assist in directing, maintaining, training ,organizing and supervising cleanliness and maintenance of the Guestrooms and Public Areas, Laundry, Linen Room and Uniform Room
To ensure maximum efficiency in performance of housekeeping personnel
To acquire and maintain immaculate guest rooms and public areas
To assist the department to control and reduce departmental expenses/labour, linen, equipments, supplies, amenities and uniform
To prepare monthly and daily scheduling to ensure adequate manpower
To be completely familiar with and carry out policies and procedures set forth by the hotel
To assist in training, supervision and maintenance of grooming and standards within the scope of responsibility
To continually supervise, train and retrain all housekeeping personnel
To inspect rooms cleaned by housekeeping personnel for cleanliness and maintenance of deficiencies
Initiate and maintain effective communication within housekeeping, engineering and front office department
To oversee the daily operations of the Laundry, Linen room and Uniform room
To ensure quarterly linen and uniform inventory is carried out
To ensure monthly orders for guest and cleaning supplies is raised
To assist with the Annual Budgeting process for their respective sections
To conduct daily morning briefings
To ensure all action plans made for the departmental goals are followed through
To make staff rosters for Rooms, PA, Linen room and Uniform room
To manage and control Overtime, Overtime spreadsheet and Daily staffing spreadsheet
To check all Laundry charges entered by the Valet
To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
