Job Description

Job Summary: The HR and Admin Manager will lead, direct and manage the day-to-day Human Resources and Administrative activities. He will provide oversight and guidance to the development and monitoring of processes related to recruitment and retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, training and development; as well as oversee administrative functions.Key responsibilities: I. Human Resource and Administration Management

  • Manage all Human Resource related matters, including contracts, compensation and benefits, government compliance, implementation of company policies and procedures, and meeting of ISO standards.
  • Maintain administrative staff by proper disposition of recruitment and hiring (as needed), regular orientation and training of employees with the objective of maintaining a safe and secure work environment and to develop personal growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Accomplish optimal staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill general administrative management functions including, but not limited to, ground and office maintenance, office furniture & equipment, waste management, power, water, internet and other utilities.
  • Provide supplies systems by identifying needs for reception, switchboard, mailroom, and kitchen; establishing policies, procedures, and work schedules.
  • Provide communication systems by identifying needs; evaluating options; maintaining equipment; approving invoices.
  • Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Improve program and service quality by devising new applications; updating procedures; evaluating system results with users.
  • Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking professional standards; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
II. Operations Management Support
  • Lead the company's accreditation with ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, HACCP and other applicable standards, as well as implementing these standards to cover all aspects of the operations.
  • Execute and implement special projects of the immediate superiors which includes, but not limited to, organization and coordination of related information and requirements.
  • Assist the owners with overseeing the smooth operations of the business, including oversight over the different departments and their management, timely preparation and implementation of their budgets, reporting and other stated deliverables.
  • Departments to oversee include Production, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Farm operations, Maintenance, and Farm School in Leyte.
  • Consult with Heads of Finance and Sales in the Makati office who can assist in your successful management of Leyte operations.
  • Organize weekly MANCOMM and EXCOMM (with the owners) meetings. Prepare the agenda for these meetings in consultation with the department heads and the owners.
  • Take the minutes of the meeting and ensure their implementation. Include Makati department heads (Finance, Sales and Marketing) via zoom.
III. Corporate Strategy
  • Assist in the formulation of the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives of the top executives.
  • Develop optimal Human Resources strategies for the company.
  • Ensure the implementation of strategic business plans.
  • Achieve financial objectives by anticipating HR and Admin requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances of costs and expenses of the assigned department/s.
  • Develop HR and Admin operational performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
IV. Risk Management and Governance
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
  • Formulate, implement and monitor reliable HR and Admin control systems, including comprehensive company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of government agencies.
  • Responsible for the governance of the company according to the highest standards.
  • Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors.
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Good knowledge of Labor Law
  • Strong recruitment skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Willing to relocate in Alang-alang, Leyte
