Job Description

  • At least 5 years of HR experience in large companies, preferably in construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in using Mercer Methodology and salary benching survey results will be advantageous.
  • Experience as business partner partnering business units will be preferred.

With operations spanning Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, the co produces more than two million tonnes of high quality steel products for the construction industry annually.Headquartered in Singapore, the firm's products are used in the construction of residential, industrial and commercial buildings, as well as infrastructural projects. Some of these iconic structures include Changi Airport, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World integrated resorts.Roles & Responsibilities: Business partnering:
  • Engage Line Managers in HR initiatives and activities
  • Understand and propose HR initiatives to support the Business Unit Annual Business Plan
  • Understand and be part of the manpower planning process for the business units
  • Help business units to identify Critical Roles and identify and track successors
  • Participate in monthly Safety meetings and Communication sessions
  • Conduct job evaluation for positions under the business units
Talent Acquisition:
  • End to end Business partnering of recruitment activities for Manpower Requisition base on department recruitment needs. From attracting potential candidate by using the most feasible platform (E.g. Job portals, agency or selected websites) to short listing for department head review, arranging for interview, evaluating selection of suitable candidate and proposal of package to candidate.
Employee Engagement:
  • Partner department head in communicating results to department
  • Work with department heads to improve on overall engagement of department
Performance Management:
  • Engage Line Managers by prompting on employees' performance setting, confirmation, 1st year anniversary review
  • Be involve in Performance Management reviews in the performance cycle
  • Coordinate and track on Performance Improvement Plan of the employees under the Business Unit
Requirements:
  • Degree with major in HR Management or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of HR experience in large companies, preferably in construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in using Mercer Methodology and salary benching survey results will be advantageous.
  • Experience as business partner partnering business units will be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of HR law, especially Singapore Employment Act, and HR practices and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to handle stress due to the heavy recruitment requirement
  • Possess high level of resilience
  • Open to work based in Tanjong Kling Road (company provides subsidised transport services across various locations). Also open to the work hours which is from 8am to 530pm
