The role:

We are looking for a digital native HR professional who is passionate in helping to build a modern and progressive employee experience using payroll systems, data, insights in HR and especially Payroll and report on the health of our people organization and help shape our people strategies.

You will lead our systems, data and analytics discipline for HR operations across the MyRepublic group to ensure we build progressive, consistent and well communicated people practices and policies that are aligned to support our business objectives, company values and local country requirements. You will drive ownership and support for all facets of our HR digital employee experience.
How you’ll contribute to MyRepublic’s success:

  • This position is responsible for managing & administration of the company Payroll shared services and ensuring compliance and accuracy in monthly Payroll activities. Responsible for payroll system ensuring payroll is managed effectively and meet critical services KPIs.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Responsible for all HR systems and processes and ensure they remain effective and up to date, and are continuously evolved to create engaging employee experiences and scaled efficiencies in HR operations
  • Maintain systems with external vendors, ensuring all relevant updates and changes are embedded on a timely basis and communicated to employees through well structured comms and training where necessary.
  • Be the primary point of contact with our system vendors ensuring questions and issues are well managed and resolved
  • Manage and continuously evolve our HR Information System to optimize our tools and capture relevant data and reporting.
  • Work closely with HR expertise areas to ensure alignment and integration of key competency areas throughout our policies, systems and processes such as talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, learning & development, recognition and employee engagement.
  • Develop insights and recommendations for action against HR insights and translate these into our policies to ensure we remain progressive and future focused in our approach
  • Represent HR with other functions to ensure our processes and systems are aligned and integrated with other disciplines such as finance, payroll, office management and IT
  • Lead the HR data and analytics expertise area providing monthly reporting and insights as well as audit, legal and board reporting requirements relating to our people analytics and data
  • Own all communications and engagement to employees relating to HR data and insights, processes, systems and policies
  • Use our people data and analytics from across the organization to report on the health of our organization
  • Ensure all data and reporting is managed to complete HR audit and compliance requirements
  • Ensure all MyRepublic policies remain up to date and aligned with local employment legislation as well as company values and wellbeing framework. Develop content and insights for HR presentations (including for exec, leadership teams, all employees, board)
  • Maintain expertise and thought leadership in HR operations by attending relevant events, attending relevant COE forums and working groups and bringing ideas and
  • feedback back to the business.
  • Ensure we are prepared to represent our MyRepublic people story at external events, awards and through social media


Qualifications
We think you’ll fit in great with us if you:
  • 4-6 years proven working experience with information technologies and systems analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Experience configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Experience managing a payroll system: Times software is the current platform but we are looking to move to an integrated global vendor
  • High level of numeracy and analytical knowledge
  • Experience managing a comprehensive HRIS system. Experience with Bamboo HR would be a great advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with the wider business
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
