About the Role:
Remitly is looking for a seasoned HR Specialist to manage administration of company and
statutory benefits with alignment to local employment laws and other relevant regulatory
compliance.
What You'll Do:

  • Maintains accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of all employee and benefits data.
  • Support new hire onboarding which includes benefits orientation for new hires and
facilitation of enrollment to all available and applicable company benefits
  • Act as the company and statutory benefits SME to include facilitation of orientation
sessions for new benefits/changes to existing benefits and the like.
  • Managing the enrollment, renewal, and distribution processes for HMO and group life
insurance coverage and other subscription related benefits.
  • Liaise with third party providers/vendor and government offices on benefits related
matters as received from employees
  • Manage day-to-day workflow in benefits administration
  • Establish and maintain empathetic partnership to resolve benefits related
requests/issues/concerns
  • Aid in processing of documents with government agencies related to new hires and
resigned employees and other reportorial requirements by the government
  • Records and keeps track of employees' claim for medical allowance and amongst others
  • Administer processing of statutory loans and other benefits applications for payroll
processing
  • Prepares and issues certification of contributions to SSS , HDMF and Philhealth
  • Monitoring government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends
  • Continuously improve established policies and practices related to benefit administration
and application in compliance with mandated local employment laws
What Qualifications You Should Have
  • At least 3+ years HR experience specifically compensation and benefits/payroll.
  • A high level of confidentiality.
  • A data-driven and analytical approach.
  • Demonstrated strength in regulatory compliance required.
  • A strong sense of urgency and sound judgment
  • Has initiative and resourcefulness in meeting set deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge in HR best practices and local labor laws.
  • Alignment with Remitly's mission, vision, and cultural values.
  • Be amenable to work onsite and demonstrate flexibility to work on a shifting schedule.
