The Human Resource Manager serves as a consultant to management on human resource related issues/concerns and proactively communicates needs of the Departments with the other HR sub-department to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the objectives and goals of the business.

Responsibilities

  • HR Business Partnering
  • Assists the Department Heads in strategic planning especially on the people side which includes cascading and analysing data such as Disciplinary Actions, Attrition, Vacancies, Engagement Survey, Exit Interviews, Learning hours, etc., in partnership with the other HR sub-departments, and management to develop and align solutions, programs, policies, PIPs to meet the unique business thrusts/goals.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders by proactively and regularly attending alignment meetings, operations meetings, and other venues for consultations to ensure that all HR updates such as people performance, programs, policies, and procedures are well cascaded and that all related concerns and issues are answered or addressed.
  • Pioneers HR re-engineering (tasks, jobs, roles, policies, procedures, etc.) as needed to ensure that HR and Business goals are achieved.
  • Assists Department Heads to lead culture promotion and facilitate change by implementing activities such as but not limited to Team Buildings (in partnership with People Development), feedback sessions, conflict management (as needed), coaching and mentoring. He/she also cascades thrusts in relation to culture change.
  • Creates/reviews/develops and implements recognition and morale boosting programs in partnership with the Department Heads and other HR sub-departments to help retention, engagement, and productivity of employees.
  • Monitors and handles career succession planning needs supporting and providing guidance on the promotion processes - Lateral Transfer and other movements during the annual performance appraisal cycle.
  • Employee Relations
  • Involved in end-to-end process of employee discipline which includes investigation and facilitation of hearing to ensure that facts of the case and articles of violations are accurate. He/she ensures that facilitation of hearing is of quality and that there is also conceptualization of action plans based on the issues discussed. He/she ensures that there is creation of controls, checks and balances, and other resolution of causes of confusion which leads to Disciplinary actions.
  • Implementing quality interventions to improve morale, teamwork and accountability, retention, and Disciplinary Actions thus improving the Department\'s productivity.
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Liaise with third parties on statutory or other regulatory requirements, as well as insurance benefits.
  • Support HR policies, not limited to compensation & benefits, through design and implementation phases.
  • Lead salary and benefits surveys and benchmarking activities.
  • Ensure that the company\'s HRIS is properly utilized and that employee records are up-to-date.
  • Facilitate performance management activities including performance appraisal activities across the organization.
  • Developing Others
  • Leading staff meetings, conducting regular one-on-one\'s, hiring, training, and development of employee performance
  • Ensure high and consistent daily performance by providing leadership, guidance, and solutions to the team
  • Structure and organize the team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and set them up for success
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • BA/BS degree with professional experience.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Decision-making skills, and ability to guide a daily junior team.
  • Detail-orientation and analytical skills, with the ability to work well with data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
