Your key responsibilities:

• Conduct timely, insightful analysis on markets in Asia with a particular focus on India and ASEAN
• Analyze economic developments from macro data releases, capital flows, and central bank and government policies to generate investment and hedging recommendations for Deutsche Bank\'s clients, with a particular focus on currency and interest rate markets
• Write for regional and global publications on investment opportunities, trading recommendations and market themes in Asia
• Present ideas and recommendations to the bank\'s clients through multiple channels, including marketing trips to various geographies
• Support key internal stakeholders, including Senior Management in the Investment Bank and Global Research, for topics related to Asia

Your skills and experience:

• University degree in Economics and/or Finance, and comfortable with programming languages (Python, R) and handling big data
• 8+ years of experience and knowledge working as an Economist or Strategist covering FX & Rates products
• Deep understanding of Asian markets (ASEAN and/or India), including regulatory landscape, policy architecture and market instruments
• A keen interest in, and passion for, financial markets, macroeconomics, and current affairs
• Good interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication in English
• Desire to take initiative, express intellectual curiosity, propose new ideas, deliver on independent projects, and excel in a fast-paced environment
