CNA\'s Digital team is looking for an interactive graphics developer/designer to enhance our brand of storytelling and create a more impactful, engaging news experience for our audience.

As a skilled coder, you will work with editors and journalists to interpret data points and news or feature stories as interactive projects or infographics.

You are expected to conceptualise, lay out the data and build data-driven interactive projects, data visualisations and widgets that not only enhance CNA\'s brand of storytelling, but which are intuitive and user-centric. You will work in a cross-functional team with editorial and visual capabilities.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 3+ years\' experience in data visualisation, information design and/or interactive graphics and with experience in frontend development
• Ability to demonstrate news, data and design judgement is a major plus, as is the ability to find, verify and clean up data sources
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Python, CSS, Drupal; familiarity with data visualisation libraries such as D3 and MapboxGL
• Familiarity with common data APIs is a must
• Experience with UX best practices and a deep understanding of mobile-first responsive design
• Proficient in designing and optimising for mobile (iOS and Android and native app and web platforms
• Excellent visual design skills, including a clear grasp of typography, layout, colour, motion and behaviour
• Must be a self-starter, able to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines
• Bachelor of Science/ Arts/ Engineering in Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Communication Design or any other relevant field of study
• Online portfolio with a range of interactive samples
