We are looking for Interns for graduate/undergraduate students with strong academic backgrounds and interests in the field of Mechanical engineering disciplines. You will be able to work with the Venture R&D team to develop an exciting Life Science product for Cell analysis.

• Project brief
• The student will have the opportunity to learn and experience the following.
• Product development life cycle.
• Understanding various sub-modules and how the sub-modules interact and work together as a system.

• Working in a multi-discipline engineering team which includes Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware engineering.
• Assisting engineering teams in testing and troubleshooting.

Objectives

To support and assist the various engineering teams in the product development and testing of a life science instrument.

• Scope
• To understand various Mechanical / Electrical subsystem modules and its functions.
• To understand how various sub-modules work together to function as a system
• To understand commands, controls and develop test procedures to verify machine specifications.
• To assist the engineering teams in troubleshooting various issues.
• To analyze data, graphs and polish up presentation skills.
• To participate in Design reviews and to give inputs on product improvements.
• To understand the Bill of Materials and Assembly requirements and support building instruments and sub-modules.
• To understand manufacturing processes to get ready for Mass production.
• Deliverables/Learning Opportunities
• To be able to understand a product life cycle from Product Requirements to Prototype realization.
• To be able to understand various functions and modules of a complex instrument.
• To understand a life science instrument\xe2\x80\x99s design, development and assembly process
• To earn engineering troubleshooting methods and techniques such as DOE and Statistical data analysis.
• Software interface and control, data analysis, scripting.
• TO work with a cross-functional engineering team.
• To be able to understand manufacturing requirements and to implement these requirements into product design.

Personal and Professional Qualifications

• Knowledge in CAD modelling such as Solidworks
• Experience in Python/MATLAB programming
