Responsible for the smooth functioning of the IT Department and its operations, advise program developments for both front and back of house usage, co-ordinate and establish hardware maintenance programs and to establish procedures in case of system interruptions; ensure security of data storage and protection and training of user equipment.
To co-ordinate the investigation and timely handling of software fault reports or enhancement requests.
To design and develop any application software for specific user department requirement, including software support and maintenance.
To have a complete understanding of the Hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Safety and Health.
The IT Manager interacts with all the Departments, Hardware and Software Maintenance Consultant as well as the PABX Consultant.
The IT Manager co-ordinates and assists other departments to get the best out of the Hotel’s EDP systems.
To ensure that any preventive maintenance required by any EDP equipment in the Hotel is carried out on scheduled time, establish a maintenance checklist of all EDP Equipment installed in the Hotel and ensure that a properly controlled physical environment is created to accommodate all the hardware required by all systems.
To follow through the timely repair and return to service of any faulty systems or items of equipment.
Be required to work at irregular hours and ready/available on call basis in case of minor system failures and emergencies.
