Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) cum Purchaser to join our team. This role provides exposure to both quantity surveying and procurement functions, making it ideal for fresh graduates eager to start their career in the construction industry, as well as candidates with some relevant experience.





Key Responsibilities:





Quantity Surveying


Assist in preparing cost estimates, tender documents, and progress claims. Support in taking off quantities and preparing bills of quantities. Work with project teams on cost control and budgeting matters.
Procurement


Handle purchasing activities including sourcing, cost comparison, supplier selection, negotiation, ordering, and delivery follow-ups. Work closely with Operations and Project Teams to support material and service requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier databases. Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers. Review and analyze supplier performance, pricing options, and contracts to secure cost savings. Create and maintain an inventory of incoming and current supplies. Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery orders before settlement. Ensure compliance with company and ISO requirements for the purchasing department. Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:



Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field. Prior procurement experience (construction sector) will be an advantage. Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented, meticulous, and a good team player. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. * Fresh graduates are welcome.
