Job Title: Kitchen Shift Lead - Japanese Dining (Up to $3,200 | Central Location | 5/6 Days)
We're a growing modern Japanese dining concept looking for someone who thrives in the kitchen, leads with calm confidence, and wants to grow into a Sous Chef role. If you're serious about food and enjoy building something great with your team, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Cook core Japanese dishes (donburi, sashimi, grilled items) with consistency and pride
Support the Head Chef in smooth daily kitchen operations
Step up and lead during service when needed
Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety
Pay attention to plating
Who We're Looking For:
At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (bonus if in Japanese cuisine)
Skilled with essential kitchen tools
Calm under pressure, reliable, and team-oriented
Willing to work weekends and public holidays
Eager to learn and take on more responsibility
What's on the Plate:
Salary: $2,700 - $3,200/month (depending on experience)
Choose between a 5 or 6-day work week
Free staff meals daily
Mentorship from a Head Chef who genuinely enjoys coaching
Career path toward Sous Chef and beyond
Work location: Central Singapore (easy to get to)
