The Role

To provide support to Department on Education and Lab administrative matters for both Department and Faculty staff.

• Oversee the utilitization and maintenance of designated common laboratory equipment in the Department.
• Ensure that lab members and students comply with OSHE\'s lab safety requirements so to achieve a safe and healthy laboratory working environment.

• Support faculty members on research administration matters such as the handling of Finance/Grants and lab procurement matters.
• Support faculty members on the administrative coordination of research staff recruitment matters.

.

• Provide training to students on laboratory techniques and skills required for the operation of common laboratory equipment in the Department.
• Provide support on the preparation of practical classes and facilitate the conduct of practical classes when necessary.

• Partake in invigilation duties for CAs and Exams for medical students as well as all graduate and undergraduate modules anchored by the Department.
• Provide support on the preparation of practical classes and logistics matters for Continuous Education Training (CET) courses.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Biomedical Science/Life Science or related studies
• Fluent in English
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Dependable and responsible personality
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with usage of common laboratory equipment (hands-on)
• Familiarity with laboratory operations
