• Must have a Juris Doctorate Law Degree.
• Must have a legal assistant with banking or mortgage banking knowledge and 5 or more years of experience.
• Must be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing.

• Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies.

Your Responsibilities as a Compliance Officer:

• Receive or locate new U.S. Federal regulations related to the servicing of forward or reverse mortgage loans. Regulations are promulgated by U.S. agencies as follows: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, FHA, VA, USDA and PIH.
• You will be responsible for identifying laws in all 50 states of the United States that are related to the servicing of mortgage loans.
• Once regulations are identified, you will be responsible for tracking the implementation of any changes to these guidelines and for determining whether changes in audit procedures have occurred consistent with the new regulations.
• Regulation and law interpretation will be required.
• Report to the Director of Operations for our outsourcing division.
• This position may have various staff which must be overseen in the process.
• You will oversee staff which will be responsible for finding and gathering any new regulations for the Compliance Officer's review.
